Diane was born in Lawrence and has lived here most of her life. She worked in the private industry as an accounting professional with over 25 years management and administrative experience in all financial functions including fiscal and cost reporting, contract proposal preparation, negotiation and management.
Diane is a graduate from Kansas University with BS degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. This professional business education has served her well, in both her long career and her many civic responsibilities. She has served as a committee member, board member, or officer of numerous civic organizations, including the Lawrence Civitan Club, the Lawrence Schools Area Council, Lawrence Board of Realtors, Women's Council of Realtors, Jaycees and the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce.
